Eneridge Awarded $1.5M from California Energy Commission to Expand Ultra-Fast EV Charging Infrastructure

Santa Fe Springs, CA – July 16, 2025Eneridge Inc. has secured $1.5 million from the California Energy Commission (CEC) under the GFO-24-607: FAST 2.0 - Fast and Available Charging for All Californians grant program. This strategic funding supports the deployment of 20 new public Direct Current Fast Charging (DCFC) ports across two high-traffic urban sites in Santa Barbara and Irvine.

The project will see the installation of 10 DCFC ports per site, leveraging five dual-port 240 kW dispensers at each location.

In a forward-thinking move to support growing EV adoption across all platforms, each site will offer:

  • Five ports with SAE J1772 CCS connectors, compatible with most current EVs.

  • Five ports with SAE J3400 NACS connectors, supporting Tesla and future NACS-compatible vehicles.

Eneridge’s deployment under FAST 2.0 will prioritize:

  • Ultra-fast charging speeds to minimize driver downtime

  • Connector diversity to serve the full spectrum of EV users

  • Open-access public charging, aligning with CEC’s equity and reliability goals

The project is scheduled to break ground in 2026, with both sites expected to be fully operational by mid-2027.
